Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo

Mar 2-21, 2027

Since 1932, the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo has made an impressive footprint on the livestock and entertainment industries and in the sport of rodeo. It also has played a notable role in enhancing the lives of thousands of young people in the state of Texas.

The Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo™ promotes agriculture by hosting an annual, family-friendly experience that educates and entertains the public, supports Texas youth, showcases Western heritage and provides year-round educational support within the community. As one of the largest scholarship providers in the U.S., the Rodeo has presented more than 22,000 scholarships valued at $660 million since 1932.

Established as the Houston Fat Stock Show in 1932, the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo has grown to more than 38,000 exhibitor entries. The Houston Livestock Show is organized by three categories of competitions: Junior Show, Open Show, and Youth Show. The Show is not only the largest livestock show, but also sets world records at the junior market show auctions. Junior auction sales total in 2026 was $35,217,099.

Throughout the Show’s 90-plus years, entertainers such as Elvis Presley, Reba, Usher, Taylor Swift and George Strait have performed on the RODEOHOUSTON® stage. Each night a state-of-the-art stage and production occurs after the rodeo chutes close and the arena dirt settles. Be sure to arrive early and see the best rodeo and concert in Texas!
