"Cowboy Craft: Traditional Art of the West" is an exhibition at Craft in America, a Los Angeles-based nonprofit arts organization founded in 2004 with the mission to promote and advance original handcrafted work through programs in all media.
It highlights the work made by members of the Traditional Cowboy Arts Association, including Wilson Capron, Beau Compton, Shawn Didyoung, Carol Gessell, Scott Hardy, Bill Heisman, Leland Hensley, Larry Lorang, Pablo Lozano, Ernie Marsh, Cary Schwarz, and John Willemsma; and also features work by Edward H. Bohlin, Luis B. Ortega, and Jorge Tello.
Saddlemaker and leather artist Cary Schwarz, NEA Heritage Fellow, is giving a talk at 4 PM PT Aug. 22 that will also be broadcast on Zoom and YouTube Live. See the museum's site to register.
The exhibition is part of Handwork 2026 and runs through September 26, 2026.
